The present appeal pertains to the challenge to an order dated 11.09.2023 passed by the learned Commissioner, Employees’ Compensation, District West, Delhi, whereby the claim application filed by the respondents came to be allowed.

As per the order dated 21.04.2025, on the request of the parties, the matter was referred to Samadhan, Delhi High Court Mediation and Conciliation Centre, where a Settlement Agreement dated 13.05.2025 was entered into between the parties, whereby the parties agreed to settle their disputes in terms of the conditions recorded therein.

Both the appellant and respondent No.1 are present in Court. The appellant submits that a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- stands deposited with the learned Commissioner and that the remaining amount under the award hasThis is a digitally signed order. The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. The Order is downloaded from the DHC Server on 14/09/2026 at 19:37:04 already been received by respondent No.1.
He further submits that he has no objection if the said amount of Rs.1,00,000/- along with the interest accrued thereon is released to respondent No.1. In support of his identity, he has handed over his self-attested copy of the driving licence and gate pass. He submits that though the item number in the gate pass is incorrectly mentioned, he has corrected the same in his own handwriting. At this stage, learned counsel for the appellant has entered appearance through VC and identified the appellant.

Respondent No.1 also acknowledges receipt of the remaining award amount. In support of his identification, he has handed over his self-attested copy of the Aadhaar Card and gate pass. He submits that though the item number in the gate pass is incorrectly mentioned, he has corrected the same in his own handwriting. He submits that on 12.11.2025, the submission regarding the outstanding amount was inadvertently made as some amount was then yet to be received, which has since been received by him.

In view of the statements made, it is directed that the learned Commissioner shall, upon verification, release the amount of Rs.1,00,000/- to respondent No.1/claimant along with the interest accrued thereon.
6. The Settlement Agreement is taken on record and the parties shall remain bound by its terms.
7. In view of the above, the present appeal, alongwith the pending applications, stands disposed of.
